In Process

Picture
The best kind of art points to more than itself and can be a doorway to the inexpressible. I try to look for the little, unnoticed events, the moments and objects that are moments of awakening. I'm interested in the collision of our own abstractions and "reality"; the perception in our gaze.
What I am looking to express is the ineffable; the mysterious other that we are looking for when we are attracted to certain lands and people. What I am looking for and will continue to look for are the reasons we stop and gaze at something beautiful: a mountain, a canyon, a wild animal, a look in someones eyes. It's about a turning and returning to something or someone. I hope that my photography can be a way of seeing more than just something to see.
